EUC Karate 2017 with 222 athletes competing

The competition is about to start in Coimbra. Tomorrow is the first day of the European Universities Championship Karate 2017 where 220 athletes will compete during three days in Hall 1 of of Coimbra’s University Sport Complex, in the city centre.

 

Two years after the EUC 2015 Taekwondo, held in Zabljak, in Montenegro, Coimbra is the host city of this event, as well as the EUC 2017 in Judo and Taekwondo. Both will take place at the same time of the EUC 2017 Karate.

 

The competition will have some european Karate prospects like Ljubisa Mihailovic (University Donja Gorica - Montenegro), Emma Aronen (University of Turku - Finland), Eray Samdan (Ulludag University - Turkey), Titta Keinanen (University of Turku - Finland), Dome Szegedi (Budapest Metropolitan University - Hungary), Nathalie Reiter (Private University of Schloss Seeburg - Austria) and Dorota Balciarova (Masaryk University - Czech Republic), who will ensure great sporting moments in Coimbra for three days! A total of 220 athletes will compete in EUC Karate Coimbra 2017, from 108 universities representing 21 countries.
